what do you think of the rule " a man shouldn't hit a woman"? I know it should just be people don't hit people but if the guy is that type of person anyway should he not hit her just because she's a woman? Personally I don't agree with that rule but I just wanted another feminist's opinion.

I think we should have a general rule that “a person should not hit another person.” We should respect others’ bodies and not resort to violence and harm one another. I don’t like the idea that it is only women that shouldn’t be hit; people of all genders should be able to live free from the fear of violence.
